Clothes Horse: Catching Knits

This week - Lust worthy knitwear from New Zealand made ethical darlings Kow Tow. Fair trade, gender neutral, fashion forward. Stay warm AND woke.

I get it. The idea of Summer is nice. BBQ's, parks, festivals. The perfect linen pant. Finding your dream woven sandal. Theoretically I like Summer - but my one true seasonal love ? Autumn. What's not to like ? Crunchy leaves, mulled wine, hanging out earlier so I can be in bed by 10pm. Heaven. I was not prepared however for the freak cold snap that hit Auckland this week. As a former Brownie, I was more than prepared for any civil emergency that the storm might bring, but I haven't even begun to buy my Autumn/Winter 2018 wardrobe !

Whilst many of the brands I follow saw the opportunity to lure me away from my budget, it was the beautiful new range of knitwear from kowtow that really caught my eye. I've been a fan of theirs for a little while now, drawn in by the ethical practices, but sticking around for the ever-unique trendsetting silhouettes their pieces cut. The cotton knit crew is a wardrobe staple of mine, both for it's durability and for the fact that it's such a flattering cut. This season though, top of my 'To Buy' list is the composure cardigan.

Elegant, stylish, practical - this is the cardigan of my dreams. In five chic colours, it is going to take all my strength not to purchase every one of them (at the moment I'm coin tossing between black and lilac). Paired with jeans and mules for a brunch-ready look, or with a wideleg pant and heeled boot for date-night-chic, I already feel like this is one step closer to my Joan Didion aesthetic dreams.

What do you look for in the brands you follow ? Which colour would you pick ? What would you style this cardigan with ? Follow the instagram to sneak a peek of me trying this on xxx
