Link Loop (On Tuesday) #4

This week: Advice for life, Delicious Vegan Berry Cobbler and Prince. Need I say more.

This was always on the cards. Sooner or later I was going to miss the imaginary deadline I'd set for myself to get these link loops out. To be fair, this time was less procrastination (my mortal enemy) and more staying-in-a-van-in-rural-New-Zealand. 'Unplugging' is such a popular idea at the moment, so when my dear friend invited me to come stay in her van for a long weekend, I jumped at the chance to leave my laptop and lap up some nature time. More on that later, let's get down to business !

First up this week, I found THIS article by Kelly Pigram really interesting. What is the best piece of advice you've been given ? I love the idea of 'thanking your anxieties for their concern'.

Collage by Emily Zirimis (featured with the original article)

Emily Zirmis does a lot of illustration and art direction for Man Repeller (one of my all time fave fashion blogs) and her instagram is everything you would imagine it to be. Beautiful.

I'm also really curious to check out THIS crazy looking film. Whenever the international film festival comes to Auckland, I love to circle the kooky documentaries - such a good way to get a sneak peek of how other people live their lives.

Always on my list of 'places to revisit' is New York. What better way to be reminded of my saving goals (lol) than to have this NYC pendant hanging in my room ?

Never not dreaming of my next trip to New York

On the subject of NYC, last time I was there it was Autumn so I missed out on Jane's Carousel - I'm hoping to take a trip that way later in the year, so look out for pictures of me being a giant kid.

Speaking of things not to be missed, In case you live under a rock, Prince's estate has released his entire discography including previously unreleased gems like THIS.

With Winter well and truely begining to take hold, this Vegan Berry Cobbler Recipe will be on high rotation at my place. Yum.

On my dreams-with-little-to-no-hope-of-eventuating list, is THIS breathtakingly beautiful rug - the figure is based on a 1948 artwork by Spanish Basque artist Eduardo Chillida. Known for his monumental abstract sculptures, he has a lovely body of work represented in MoMA’s collection

For my Italian Villa by the sea when I marry a rich old oil baron with a weak heart.

Last but not least, my skincare tip for this week: Long ago I used to review beauty products for another blog, THIS little french darling is a daily staple I come back to again and again.

What kind of things are on your lust list ? Do you use an app to store your wants & needs ? Who are you following on Instagram that you love ? Til next time xxx
